How I feel about food...

Confession: my favorite food used to be boxed man-n-cheese.

Mmm yes, the glorious mac n cheese. I was a one-box-a-weeker, some times two. And I could put a whole box out by myself. Not that I would always, but I could...and usually wanted to. That is, until I found out how bad processed food is for you. Thus, my love affair ended. Well, not entirely ended, but definitely got put on mute. You see, once you go to knowing certain things, you can't un-know them.

This journey with food is one I have been on my whole life. I have always loved food. In fact, I was known as the one who went first in the line and always went for seconds in my family. But since having children, I have noticed we are what we eat. Almost literally. Striving to be healthier and eat healthier is a journey I haven't been on for very long, but one I am definitely excited about. Cooking with fresh vegetables, less sugar, and more whole grains is something I've come to love, along with many other ways to eat/cook more healthy. So on my blog, you will find recipes that I've tried (or want to try), recipe evaluations, and hopefully pictures of some of my meals. I hope this inspires you, as so many others have inspired me to eat healthier and and actually love it.

You can love healthy food. Believe it or not.

And yes, I still eat mac-n-cheese. But not every week. :)
